Melanie is a senior member of the private equity team where her significant private equity experience and deep financial markets knowledge are key drivers of the team’s success. She has a broad industry background, having analysed investment opportunities across a range of manufacturing, services, wholesale and retail businesses.

Melanie joined Viburnum as an Investment Director in 2008 and is responsible for managing all stages of the investment process – initial due diligence of investment opportunities, structuring of transactions, execution of the documentation, management of the Investee companies and the subsequent exit.

Prior to joining Viburnum, Melanie was a senior member of the ANZ Private Equity division, working on several expansion capital and management buyout transactions, including the investment in Nomad Building Solutions Ltd in Western Australia, one of the ANZ Capital’s most successful investments. This followed a ten year career as an economist, including Senior Economist at ANZ Capital, while Melanie has also been a regular commentator on Sky News, Channel Seven, Lateline and ABC News.

Melanie holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the University of Western Australia and Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
