Ian Chu
Senior Analyst – Public Equity
Ian is a key member of Viburnum’s in-house research team and brings with him strong analytical and numerical skills. Ian joined Viburnum in 2014 at which time he was a private investor and equity market analyst.
Ian also has a medical background, being a dental surgeon since 2012 and consultant to several dental practices in Western Australia and the Eastern States. Ian’s medical background enables him to provide a unique perspective and add valuable insights and understanding of the healthcare sector (pharma/biotech, medical devices etc.), a key focus for Viburnum’s Strategic Equities strategy. In addition, Ian also covers a number of other sectors in his research role.
Ian holds a Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons) from the University of Western Australia, along with his completion of the CFA program.
